The pop up garden at the Barbican station was conceived, planned and is managed by the Friends of City Gardens in conjunction with TfL’s Community Programme. Our friends at Gensler produced the overall design concept and various members of the Friends of City Gardens worked on the planting plan.
A huge thanks goes, of course, to our sponsors, contacts, volunteers and friends who have helped to make this garden possible:
- Transport for London
- London Underground
- The Staff at Barbican Station
- The Friends of City Gardens
- Kingston Smith LLP
- Redrow plc
- The Barbican Arts Centre
- The Museum of London
- The Open Spaces Department of the Corporation of the City of London
- Skanska UK plc
In particular the Friends of City Gardens would like thank Tom McCreesh, Mischa Ickstadt, Rob Varney, all the guys at Kellys, Cassius Powell, Olu Olokun, Andy Scholes, Tom Aley, Jon Fairey, Sarah Hudson, Ted Reilly, Candace Gillies-Wright & Marion Blair.
